We have now, another version of this battle, and one which has the topography of a master artist. Please test it out and see how it plays. It is an "objective" map...to win, your side must place the colors on 2 of the 3 victory spots on the map created for your army (they are behind your enemy lines). French however, are still obligated to attack.

Here are some screenshots from this amazing map....

Had a great test battle with Volt today on this map...it worked great!

1) the objectives add a great dynamic to the game

2) the play seems balanced

3) there were no crashes

I want to try and get a good 2 vs 2 or better on this map...there a lot to keep track of, but its great fun. Players need to play with honour and follow the rules...once your enemy has cleared 2/3 of his objective circles and placed his colors their (you can see it) you must Surrender...not say "lets play on anyways". Colors are ANY flag man, inf or cav, alone or attached to a company.

what an excellent looking map !!!!

i assume you have used existing terrain pieces and moulded them in to fit in excellently with your map

this is the first time i have seen some do this so well others have done it but for me it looked fake or unrealistic

if you havn't done this then even better well done !

one thing that will have too change is the windmill in the right hand corner as unfortunatly you can't have a windmill without wheat i have tried it several ways and fail to get it so that there is no wheat growing

wheat fields and snow for me just don't go Smile

I placed most of the trees by hand, some forests were auto -generated.

OK, after a few tests I have tweeked the map a bit...using an OOB, I added a bit more to the Prussian contingent, put it on a ten minute time delay, took away a few French cannon as Allies were superior in this regard (though real ratio ignored for game play), gave Russian some more men, took away the mill that auto grows wheat each time the map loads, and added a few cavalry cannon (as they were listed in OOB).

I'm hoping that it's a bit harder for French this time.

Hmm, eventually sure, but I like to published new maps at the top so that they are readily visible. Hmmm, never thought of them being organized chronologically, perhaps that is what SW does, never really noticed actually.

sooo, turns out that you're right! I actually never noticed before that SW had arranged the maps are in chrono order in the different coalition pages! One of those obvious things that always escaped my attention....so, I have put it in the right order... Wink
